Update: Scores finalised
Thank you for your patience over the Easter break. First on the agenda was to finalise the scores. There are no changes to all prize placings, these were verified in detail in the short time between the running of the last truck and the presentation. We have now had time to re-check all the stage scores and found some errors in the released provisional score sheet.
Changes in Detail
- Army Barbie on “S9 – Mickey Thompson Jaw Breaker” scored 88 not 36 points
- Team Home Brand on “S10 – Opposite Lock Rock Garden” scored 0 not 41 points
- Rumble Rock Toy on “S11 – Allied Wheels Heartbreak Ridge” scored 42 not 38 points
- Macarthur 4×4 on “S11 – Allied Wheels Heartbreak Ridge” scored -15 not 15 points
- Black Betty on “S12 – 4×4 Accessories Store Rocky Horror” scored 37 not -18 points
These changes effected the total scores of some other teams which were awarded course averages on some stages.

We are looking at alternative score recording methods for the future with the potential of live updates to competitors and spectators.

great weekend would be good to have a dirt hill around mudrats so its easier to see like near frame twister marbles and weriba
I had an excellent weekend however i found the waiting time between the 4wd’s tackling the tracks was to long. Im not talking about the recovery of a 4wd im talking about how long it took for the stage officials to do the paper work and get them on the track for example Saturday night it took the lady so long to do the paperwork in order for them to start, she was also doing the timing and watched them complete the course. i suggest you split this up the crowd was getting to bored waiting
Loved it, If I had to be picky the food lines were slow. Need more camping area’s next year as its really starting to fill up early, general camping area was full by 2pm. Also be good to update rules so teams can be disqualified for stupid driving, you know who i mean.
Over all a great event but next year you need more drink stands. If showers are going to be offered and pre paid for they need to work and not have DARK BROWN water. The food was not good at all. Please let some of the local boy scouts or lions club do fund raiser foods or even the local pub look after food. Not these carny roach wagons on wheels. I am only talking about the food at the tracks the catering food was ok. There needs to be drink stands between the tracks not just at the base.
Some of the viewing areas were very unsafe.
But as I said the trucks and the tracks were great. I look forward to next year….
But I will be bringing my own food next time.
A top weekend as usual.
Too long between trucks competing due to paperwork I presume.
Didn’t seem to be the usual amount of recovery machines, hence recovery taking longer.
More lighting for mudrats and a decent size hill at the top side of the course for spectators.
Better commentary on what teams are about to start what course.
Apart from that, another fab weekend.
great weekend always taken food for breaky and happy to support local firies for lunch and tea but $7 for a steak and $4.80 for a bottle of water un real .i guess i will have to miss stuff while i stop for food next year. thanks for the free water on sunday it was quite hot and appreciated .the suggestion about the mound near mudrats.the big tipper tyres would work,in a layerd formation and save on dirt. i suppose the land owner would have a say too.
Best weekend ever! Will be there again next year for sure.. Loved the Jeep- Team Black dog & The black GU with hydraulics..
wen are the scores going to be adjusted ???
A recount of the scores will be done next week and updated online shortly after.
A great weekend but a bit boring between trucks. Too much time is wasted wating for the paperwork to get done. The paperwork needs to be done while the truck in front is driving.
I agree with Kylie. There was too much downtime between competitors due to the starting officials even when there was no recovery or track damage. More than once i noticed large groups of spectators moving on to another event and leaving early on the Sunday. Big thumbs up to the police and security. Well done!
Firstly Trilogy have been performing for to long at Tuff Truck, once is enough. the crowds comments to me were less than flattering. Keep the security that was there this year, they were fantastic and helpful.Your staff done an excellent job particularly Tony & Steve they both went out of there way to help as much as they could. Another fantastic event. THANK YOU.
Catering? need more outlets and less wait time so bad !!
Shops/vendors: rocked up with cash, you know how hard it was to buy lights , still went home empty handed
Dunnies: Thank god i didnt stay all weekend , how bout getting them cleaned/maintained.not real nice to take the family into especailly when ur paying 40 bucks just to get in the gate
Delays: like above post , how bout time panelties if you dont get to the next stage ontime..yobos go bannanas just waiting
Yobos : how bout beer restrictions, too many drunk nob heads when there are young familys around
last time i was there was 2006 , not much has changed since, think it was better back then …
what 4wd action i did see was good, great mechanical engineering in their trucks, good on to the competetors
might see you again in a few years
First time – Loved it.
Would be good to have an electronic points tally board and a schedule of who is tackling which course next.
Alittle disapointed this year with over crowding [mudrats] the amount of ferrels ,cut down the amount of alcohol supply ,instead of two slabs make it one for the weekend , even security staff having eggs throwen on them thats not right, food prices $3.00 for a can of coke over the top.You need some better food instead of fried stuff what about pasta’s,salads, fruit salad its not hard for people to do. This year i brought my family i should of left them at home. I ordered the first five tickets with a shower pass as i try to do each year and at one that weekend myself and my boys we standing in the showers for 20-30mins with no water. Apart from that it was a great weekend with plenty of trucks that did not dissapoint which is why we travel 1800kms to get there each year.
Great weekend, can’t wait to do it again next year as this was the first time. Would highly encourge for next year more areas for camping as it disappeared very quickly and some spots where taken up by ghosts. Blocked very large areas with minimal people in them. Amenities were alright but more would be better. I’m with a few other comments as well with long waiting times for the paperwork getting done.
had a great three days only suggestion i have is maybe a family area for watching mudrats friday night was ok but sat night the yobo’s got a bit to wild for the younger kids . other then that we had a great weekend well done to all.
Bigger competitors area. Some competitors commented the size of the camping area was the same as the previous year however there was 20 more trucks this year! Assigned bays would be good so when we turn up we know exactly where we are meant to be. That way we dont have to wait for a long time for directions or for someone to find a free bay.
Great event yet again but just a couple of things. gas canisters being thrown into fires is just plain stupid, especially at mudrats when there are kids around. Better sorting of camping areas no point having family camping areas when a 4×4 full of 20+ year old blokes pulls up and pitches a tent. More toilets etc would be great to cut waiting times down. There were less police and security this year compered to last year but yet far more people being stupid, crude and throwing stuff around (cans etc at mudrats) while here are kids around.I hope all the feedback is taken as it is meant ie constructive as this is a great event and my son and i love comming there as well as other friend and there kids. Take control of there ferels less alcholol is a start.
First of all the comp itself was awesome, the trucks and tracks are 1st class. One thing i have noticed over the past 5 years my family and i have been comming to Tuff Truck is that there is more families turning up each year, which i think is great. The security and police presents are a bloody good idea as there are still some yobbo’s that take things to far.
Secondly, the line up for food and drinks was a JOKE as someone had said get a few local clubs in doing B.B.Qs Drinks should be no more than $2 bucks a can they still make a good profit at that.
Do the simple things right and the crowds will only get bigger each year. Thanks for letting us have a say.
Seya next year.
Where are the rc rock crawler outlaw class results
They will be added to an update of the RC Comp announcement blog post after the holidays.
Love it can’t wait till next year
Again a great weekend but i went to buy Tuff Truck merchandise and the EFPOS machine failed due to lack of signal/ reception a number of times and it happened to others that were there aswell. There is no reason why a temp telephone line could be put in place and then this problem wouldnt happen and hold up others who are trying to buy merchandise and miss the events we went there to watch. If you need a hand with this i may be able to help. cheers justin
Great weekend for attending the first time. I agree with previous comments, driving around for an hour in the family camping area and too see plenty of space taken by mysterious people(blanked off areas for little use). Maybe try marking areas with white lines and numbers to camp between to allow room for all familys who pre purchase tickets over the net have designated camping areas to match tickets. Food and drinks were through the roof, No need for the prices when we could be supporting local sporting clubs. The entertainment for children was great although not all of it was suitable to younger children who loose interest quickly while just watching the trucks. Tackling the drinking issue also for the more family friendly event, otherwise my family and I had a great weekend.
TOO MUCH ALCAHOL. You are promoting your event as a family event. I brought my 2 boys with me we were going to stay for the whole weekend. After friday nights pissed idiots every were we didnt stay for saterday night.
Yes we were in the so called family area. On saterday people were more worried about pulling allong there drink trolly that they were than watching the trucks. I saw a 10 year old kid pulling along a tonka truck with a beer can in the back. He thought he was cool.
TRUCKS were awsom and didnt disapoint..
@Steve
When you go to ANY 4wd event,
you need to expect that there will
be drunk bogans having a party.
As the Managers and organisers,
we do absolutely everything in our
power to avoid incidents of every type
including disruption to the favoured
falimy camper members.
Thanks for your feedback anyway.
