Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge
Work

Welsh’s Road Milbrodale New South Wales 2330 Australia

Located on private land in the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley is the ideal location for a weekend of camping and challenging offroad mountain climbing courses. A flat open valley provides great camping just walking distance from steep cliff walls which provide the perfect backdrop for roaring 4WD motors skillfully navigating around multiple courses.

Stages, Amenities & Camping Locations

All the day stages run within the valley just metres from each other (with a turn of your head you can often see three or more trucks on a course at any one time). The rest of the event is an easy walk from the campsites. If you don’t feel like walking, catch the Tuff Bus, which makes regular trips around the site.

How do I get there?

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT: Do not come through Bulga, enter from Broke. Queuing will not be allowed along the Putty Road.

From the North

Inland Route

  1. From the north head to Singleton on the New England Hwy. If you are traveling down the New England Highway, then it is the next major town after Muswellbrook
  2. As you come into Singleton, look out for the sign to Windsor
  3. This will take you onto the Putty Road. Drive 6.6 km along the Putty Road and watch out for Paynes Crossing Rd on the left to Broke
  4. As you come into Broke, Milbrodale Rd is on the right with a bridge over the creek
  5. Travel west for 12.7 km. You will see event signs into the entrance at Walsh’s Road.

Costal Route

  1. Follow signs towards Newcastle, but as you cross the Hunter River at Hexham right as you come over the bridge onto the New England Hwy
  2. Follow this for a little over 4km keeping left into John Renshaw Drive (follow the “A1 Sydney” signs)
  3. Go straight through the large roundabout at the start of the M1 towards Cessnock
  4. Follow this road to the Hunter Expressway (M15) and head west towards Singleton
  5. Continue reading the Sydney directions from point 4

From the South

Sydney

  1. Head north across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and proceed along Pacific Highway to the M1 (old F3) Motorway at Wahroonga

  3. Turn left off the M1 at Belford on the Hunter Express Way (M15) exit and follow the “Singleton” signs
  4. At Belford the M15 slows from 110km/h to 100km/h to become the A15 (same road, different name)
  5. Keep left and after 8km turn on to the Golden Hwy (B84) towards “Denman” and “Dubbo”
  6. Follow this road to the T-intersection at the end and turn left on to the Putty Road
  7. Stay on the Putty Rd for only 900m taking the very next left onto Broke Road
  8. Follow this road into the small town of Broke (approx 15KM)
  9. Just as you see the Broke General Store turn right onto Milbrodale Rd and you’re nearly there. Follow the road until you get to the Tuff Truck Challenge. Event signs will direct you to turn left into Welsh’s Rd just before Putty Rd.
