Vehicle / Team Eligibility

  • Driver and navigator present
  • Driver and navigator licenses current
  • Roll cage compliance and condition
  • Suitability/size of plates under the body/floor for the roll cage mounts
  • Space forward of B pillar for clear TTC stickers
  • Space on bonnet clear for TTC stickers
  • TTC number plates able to be attached
  • General appearance is good

Compulsory Equipment

  • 2 x 0.9kg fire extinguishers min or 1x 1.5kg min (refer CCDA Manual rule 4.1.7)
  • Fire extinguishers mounted secure & safe
  • Fire extinguishers accessible by driver & navigator
  • Crash helmets checked for compliance (refer Supplementary rule 3.6.2)
  • Window nets and fastenings
  • Recovery kit includes:
    • Snatch strap
    • Snatch block
    • D or bow shackles 4.7 T (minimum 2)
    • Winch extension strap
    • Gloves (minimum 2 pairs)
    • Tree trunk protector
    • Cable dampener
    • Extra recovery gear (check rating)
    • Winch cable (no damage)

  • Doors open from inside and outside vehicle
  • Pedal rubbers or pads OK
  • Brake pedal height and firmness
  • No sharp external objects
  • Wheel nuts / studs (full thread on nut)
  • No major oil/grease leaks
  • Drive train security
  • Steering play and linkages
  • Engine / gearbox mounting
  • Battery terminal insulation and wiring security
  • Fuel line security
  • Brake line security
  • LPG system reviewed (Chief Scrutineer)
  • Hydraulic steering and suspension hose security
