Q: How many people can I have camp inside the competitors compound with me?
A: A total of 8 people including driver/navigator & crew.
Q: I have heard that Rego is no longer required to compete in TTC this year?
A: That is correct, please see rule 4.1.2 b on the TTC website for an explanation of this.
Q: How many can we camp in the competitors site?
A: Up to 8 adults, please refer to conditions in Competitor Camping. This can be found in the Competitors Info section on the TTC website
Q: Can I enter my buggy in Tuff Truck?
A: The Tuff Truck concept was not designed for buggies. The vehicles have to meet all of the requirements under our supplementary rules
Q: Can i use my spare wheel during stages ?
A: The spare wheel may only be used in the event of failure of one of the driving wheels on the vehicle. The spare wheel cannot be used as a traction aid, or to assist the vehicle to continue forward motion.
Q: My missus is staying at home, so its is just me and my navigator – who can use the extra 2 tickets ?
A: Anyone you like, but would recommend your crew (the guys who fix your truck once you’ve broken it) or maybe some mates who can help you on the trip home after TTC2010
Q: I notice the rules about helmets has changed – why is this ?
A: All helmets must have the AS1698 label stitched inside the helmet, and not just the sticker on the back. Scrutineers will be checking for these labels. We need to ensure safety for all competitors throughout the event.
Q: Do I need a special licence to compete ?
A: All drivers and navigators must hold a current drivers licence (not learners permit) and must also be a member of CCDA. Please make sure that both are current and valid prior to arriving on site.
Q: I’ve made some modifications to my vehicle and i want to ensure its is acceptable and within the rules – what can I do?
A: Firstly you can contact our Competitions Manager and describe the modification.
